My
Philosophy

My philosophy's core element is to understand clients' needs and always ensure that I keep them fully informed about all developments in their matters. I am responsive to all questions. I provide my clients with a continuing cost/benefit analysis and measure success by obtaining appropriate ethical results at a reasonable cost.

Billing Alternatives

The firm has always tried to take steps to make its fees reasonable and to help improve access to the courts for a broader range of clients. Here are some strategies it employs:

  • Free 30-Minute Initial Consultation: To discuss your case with you, understand your options, and assess whether you can afford our services.
  • Flat Fee Services: We offer flat-fee services for common legal matters, such as simple wills, or contract drafting. This approach provides transparency and predictability for clients.Recently cut out of an illustrated magazine and housed in a nice
  • Sliding Scale Fees: We offer a sliding scale fee structure based on a client's income and financial situation.
  • Unbundled Services: We offer "unbundled" or limited-scope representation, where clients can hire us for specific tasks or parts of their case rather than full representation. This can significantly reduce costs.
  • Payment Plans: We are amenable to flexible payment plans that allow clients to pay their fees in installments over time.
  • Pro Bono Work: The firm dedicates a portion of its time to pro bono work.
  • Alternative Fee Structures: The firm has, on occasion, adopted alternative fee arrangements, such as contingency fees (common in personal injury cases) or hybrid fee structures that combine hourly rates with a success-based component.
  • Limited Scope Representation: The firm has acted for clients under a limited scope representation where it provides specific legal services for discrete parts of the client’s case. This can reduce costs.
  • Efficiency: The firm uses current technology to insure efficient case management and to reduce billable hours, which can help lower costs for clients.

Representative Clients

Over the years, my representative clients include Hollywood Park Racetrack, Los Angeles Coliseum Commission, City of Vernon, Donald P. Bellisario, City Glatt, Inc., The Midnight Mission, Montebello Unified School District, Joan Collins, ABS Clothing, Inc., Ice.com, College Health Enterprises, Glatt Western Kosher, Xin Li, and many insurance companies.

The Right Match

Being a lawyer is a honorable profession, and I am privileged to be a member. I am not a global firm, though I relish the opportunity to litigate against such. Not every client is a good match for every lawyer. The client seeking to retain the “right lawyer” should not be lulled into believing that a large firm will provide better representation.
